Ponseti International Association recently collaborated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons to establish an AAOS-Ponseti International Association (PIA) Scholarship, which will be awarded to one recipient per year in the years 2014 and 2015. We are excited to announce that this year’s recipient is Dr. Mohammed Alwash of Iraq (left). The scholarship award will help fund his visit to the University of Iowa, where he is currently training for two weeks under the direction of Dr. Jose Morcuende. Dr. Raed Abbas (Iraq, right) traveled to Iowa by way of theRonald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) grant. Congrats to both of them!
